SYNOPSIS:

Gustav de Jongh (Kurt Darren) who is South Africa’s favourite singer, gets recruited by a Belgian music promoter, to do a quick concert tour in Amsterdam and Brussels, to create support for a big international music festival being held in George, and also to record a song with a European star. His fiancée, Lisa Sneyders (Christina Storm), looks like the stereotypical, perfect girl.  She is beautiful, has a perfect relationship with the media, and together Gustav and Lisa is seen as SA’s “Posh and Becks”. But everything is not always as perfect as it seems. In Brussels, Gustav meets a young Dutch singer named Anna Sichter. There is an immediate attraction between the two. Back in South Africa, the cracks are beginning to surface in Gustav and Lisa’s “perfect” relationship.  Everyone in George is preparing for the music festival, and Gustav and Anna spend a lot of time together. Lisa announces to the South African media about her engagement to Gustav. Danie , Gustaves best friend races back to George to stop Gustav from making a big mistake. He tells him that if and when you find true love, you must hold on to it tightly, and not let it slip through your fingers. After his performance at the music festival, Gustav announces to Lisa and the media that their engagement is off. This is the beginning of a race to Amsterdam, and our heroes only get problems wherever they go- from ticket counters, to customs, etc. When they finally arrive in Amsterdam, they race to the venue where Anna’s engagement party is being held, on a yacht. It’s not an easy task for two South African “boerseuns” to get onto a yacht.  They hijack a small row boat, and using Kurt’s song, “Kaptein, span die seile”, they make their way across the water to the yacht...
