Plot: After 18-years on-air, the cast and crew of Egoli are in the process of wrapping filming on the show today (28 August). The episodes being filmed are for the shows very last episodes ever. The soapie, which first premiered on M-Net on 6 April 1992, was bumped from it's Prime slot of 18h00 to 18h30 earlier this year, when it was replaced with Binnelanders. At the time of the decision to swap the two shows it was also announced that the soapie would keep running for one final year before retiring. The Finale episode will be broadcast on Wednesday 31 March, 2010 and will be episode number 4,689.
