Plot: Mara Malan, a teacher spends the last of her savings on a house in Loxton, a small Northern Karoo town. Loxton seems to be the perfect place for her to raise her 5 year old daughter, Mia, in a safe and friendly country environment. However, she soon discovers that her plans for a new life are jeopardy because the primary school in Loxton where she is employed is about to be closed down by the education authorities. The only hope of saving the school is to raise a massive five hundred thousand rand within three weeks.

Plot: Wimpie Koekemoer - the biggest geek in school. He is constantly embarrassed by his conservative mother and his strange father, especially in front of girls. Wimpie dreams of being popular. His dream could unexpectedly become a reality when the most popular girl in school, Katrien Swanepoel, is dumped by first team rugby centre Werner 'Killer' Botha. Katrien and her friends Liezl and Christie decide to give Werner a taste of his own medicine by planning to make Wimpie the new first team centre. It turns out rugby is a lot harder than Karien and Wimpie anticipated and Wimpie almost gives up. Fortunately his unexpected popularity leads to friendship with school rascals Japie and Fanie. The mischievous duo unknowingly convince Wimpie to keep playing rugby, even though they're much more interested in pajama parties with girls. Bakgat is finding yourself, despite high school.

Plot: Security guards, pizza delivery men, motorists, a bride, restaurant owners, taxi passengers, businessmen and Kurt Darren 'bites the dust'' in the new candid camera movie Rainbow Skellums, to be released in December by Ster-Kinekor Distribution. Well known movie producer Andre Scholtz and his experienced team travelled throughout South Africa to catch a few "victims". TV-cameras were cleverely installed in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Heidelberg, Ventersdorp, Strand, Cape Town, Eersterivier and Gordon's Bay while the three "skellums", Kevin Ehrenreich, Alexa Strachan and Louw Venter caught out their victims. The "victims" (people on the street), are the actual actors in this hilarious candid camera movie. Corruption, safety, bribery, unleaded petrol, the bad economy, the changing of city names and stolen vehicles - these current problems all come to light in Rainbow Skellums. The three Skellums constantly had to be on their toes to catch their unsuspecting victims off guard and besides that, also had to try not to annoy the victims too much.Once the victims realised it was only a joke, they were so relieved that they could only laugh!

Plot: Ten-year-old Thembi and her eight-year-old brother, Khwezi, are left alone in their rural homestead when their mother dies. All they have to remember Mama is a grass mat she wove, which she aimed to enter in a craft competition. Her dream, inspired by a visit to their village by a white priest from the city, was for the mat to win a prize that could support her children. So Thembi decides to take the mat to the competition herself, and Khwezi reluctantly goes with her. When the children arrive in the city they are spotted by a street-wise 12-year-old, Chili-Bite, and his gang. He offers them a place to sleep on the street and tells her of a friend who knows the priest – who turns out to be a sleazy pimp who aims to sell this rural girl’s virginity as a cure for AIDS. It is Thembi’s relationship with Khwezi that sustains her quest to fulfill her mother’s dream. When this bond between the siblings is broken, she succumbs to the grief that has been welling up inside her since her mother’s death. In her time alone she discovers her own dream and her own talent, then is able to reconcile with her new friends from the street, and with her little brother.
